Zhuoran Li is a visual communicator, illustrator, and graphic designer based in London and Shanghai. Working across publishing and material experimentation, she develops visual languages that connect storytelling and making.
Her practice is concerned with traces, material transformation, and the hidden connections that shape everyday life. She looks closely at everyday environments, exploring how subtle traces and material fragments reveal relationships between people, objects, and the natural world. Through collecting and reinterpreting these fragments, she transforms overlooked details into new narratives.
Interested in the relationship between visual storytelling and materiality, Zhuoran explores how narratives can extend beyond the printed page through books, textiles, and collectible objects. Her work considers materials not only as forms of expression, but also as carriers of memory, meaning, and connection.
